Self-Service Tools Help Page

The interactive data visualization tools produced by the Office of Institutional Research are designed to make accessing and exploring university data easier and more convenient. Due to the private nature of some data, certain tools are restricted to faculty and/or staff of the university. 

Each tool will generally consist of multiple tabs. Each tab will be labelled with a descriptive title about the information that it contains. In the display for each tab there will likely be filters which allow you to customize the information that is being displayed. These filters most often take the form of drop-down menus on either the left or right hand side of the page.

You can learn more about each of the tools by selecting them from the list below. If you do not see a tool listed, then the help page is still being developed.

Pivot Tables

Although most of the tools provided by Institutional Research are described above, some still make use of Pivot Tables in Microsoft Excel. Below are two links to resources on how to use pivot tables.

Student and Faculty Lists (Report Net Portal/Logi Analytics)

Although not provided or maintained by the Office of Institutional Research, we often refer people to the Report Net Portal maintained by Technology Resources to obtain simple lists of students, faculty, and staff.
