Tami Rice, Director of Institutional Research
Tami joined the Office of Institutional Research as a planning analyst in 1997, and served as the associate director of the office and as the chief data governance officer for the university from 2012-2017. She was promoted to Director of Institutional Research in December 2017. She is responsible for providing data and analytical support to the Texas State University System Office; chairing the Texas State University System Institutional Research Council, and the Texas State University Data Governance Council; serving as the State Reporting Official; coordinating the Legislative Budget Board performance measures reporting process; and managing the Data Governance Program at Texas State.
She is a member of the Association for Institutional Research (AIR), the Texas Association for Institutional Research (TAIR), and she has been a presenter at the Association of Governing Boards (AGB) National Conference on Trusteeship.
Tami received an M.S.H.P. in Health Research (1998) and a B.B.A. in Management (1990) from Texas State University. Before joining Texas State, she was an auditor with another state agency in Texas.
