G. Marc Turner, Senior Research Analyst

Marc’s primary responsibilities include building interactive dashboards, predictive modeling, compiling faculty and staff demographics, supporting assessment activities, completing standard reports, providing training on data visualization, and maintaining the IR Self-Service Tools. Marc is also a member of the Texas State University System - IR Council where he provides development, assistance, and training on data visualization for component institutions. 

Marc is an active member of the Texas Association for Institutional Research (TAIR) and is currently the TAIR Vice-President/President-Elect. He previously served as the Professional Development Officer for the organization and served as a member of the TAIR Program Committee for multiple years. Marc also maintains membership in the Southern Association for Institutional Research (SAIR) and the national Association for Institutional Research (AIR).

Marc earned a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a focus on Quantitative Psychometric Methods (2004) from the University of Texas, an M.Ed. in Educational Psychology (1998) from the University of Texas, and a B.S. in Psychology (1995) from Texas State University. Prior to joining the Office of Institutional Research in January 2013, Marc was a faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Texas State from 1997 to 2012. Although he is not currently teaching any courses, he maintains his standing as a member of the Graduate Faculty at the University..
